I am pleased to offer this magnificent estate sale find! This piece was found at a sale in Lancaster, PA and caught my eye right away. It is simply gorgeous and unlike anything I have seen before. I have seen many braided rugs, but never in a wonderful rectangle design as they are usually oval. Completely braided with thick individual pieces of material it has been finished with the most amazing attention to detail and the best bold colors and fabulous design. It appears to be a mix of sturdy wool and cotton material. The colors and design make it the best accent piece as it would go anyw and match with anything! So fun!! The rug is the best collection of warm and rich colors of barn red, deep chocolate brown, rich caramel, light cream and even some shades of green. The rug is broken into perfect lines that are all unique and yet come together to create a true work of art. All the colors seem to come together in the most perfect way...it is truly amazing! Just gorgeous! This is certainly a one of a kind museum quality find. An amazing example of American folk art at its best! I can't imagine all the hard work that went into creating it...it is truly amazing. Would look perfect just about anyw..in front of the kitchen sink, front door, hallway or a warm place for your feet in the morning in the bedroom....would even work in a home
