This unique brass and crystal antique ink well was purchased at a Rhode Island antique store in the mid 1950s. It has been in my family since then. The heavy crystal ink well has an intricate beveled square/diamond cut design on the bottom (photo). Each side edge of the ink well is also beveled (photo). The well rests in a center square which is bordered with open fence work and can be removed from the stand. Three sides around the ink well have an open brass fencing. T is a resting tray in the front for the ink pen. The brass base has 4 round feet on each corner to prevent it from scratching the surface of your desk. T are no dents or scratches. The lid on the ink well works and the crystal is in perfect condition. It measures 5 1/2" deep, 4 3/4" wide and 2" high without the ink well. The well measures 2 1/2" square and 2 3/4" high to the top of the lid. This is a final sale. Insurance is included in the shipping and handling. Pay Pal must be received within 2 days of auction close. A check, money order or cashiers check must be received within 7 days of auction close. A personal check or cashiers check have a 10 business day hold to clear. Browse our ebay store, Brigadoon Farm LLC, for more unique items.
