Here is a rare find!! an early dog collar - I am guessing 1850's as he would have been in his late 30's. Could be a little earlier or a little later- or even earlier if it was his father (as he is a jr.) engraved : "NO. 17 N.F. SAFFORD'S DORCHESTER" I am selling other items from Nathan Foster Safford's Massachusett estate. He once entertained President Abraham Lincoln in 1848 in his home.
