ANTIQUE BRASS & GALVANIZED METAL SHIP RED & GREEN RUNNING LAMPS We are offering this neat pair of navigation lights for a ship of long ago. The lamps still have their original kerosene/oil burners, although they look like the have never been used. Based on the electrical cord, I would guess that the lamps were converted to electric quite awhile ago. The only markings I could find were on the glass. Reading from the inside, the green glass has inscribed near the top: Kilborn-Sauer Co. Fairfield, CONN. Near the bottom it reads: CLASS.3. No.101 Again from the inside, the red glass appears to be inserted upside down. It reads near the bottom of the lamp: Kilborn-Sauer Co. Fairfiled, Conn. Near the top, it reads 1012. The lens on each is heavy molded glass. The red lens seems to be fine. the green lens has a small crack across the bottom which I have attempted to show in one of the pictures. The lamps measure about 12" high (13.5" to top of ring) and 7 inches across. The door, top of the lamp, and burners all appear to be brass while the body of the lanterns are galvanized metal. Both lamps have a bracket on back for hanging, in addition to the brass rings on top. The brass has a nice patina all around. The brass caps show a few hairline age cracks -- not easy to see and they do not appear to impact the integrity of the lamps. As
