Very Nice Antique Brass Blade Japanese Knife / Page Turner w/ Copper & Silver Bugs Sold to the first " BEST " offer.. Beautiful DETAIL ! Finely Decorated, 6 different Bugs on the basket weave handle, the bugs are different metals Silver butterfly , 2 copper Dragonfly , copper Beetle , Large Brass Praying Mantis, and a fantastic Horned Beetle! These bugs are all applied / riveted to the handle, the handle is a sheet basket weave pattern wrapped around and soldered/brazed , the may be wood inside the handle Fine Detailed HAND Engraving on the blade , Bugs on one side and Flowers on the other All Brass ( except for the bugs) , 12 & 1/4" long , unusual square tipped blade, I do not know the original use for this knife. the thin brass hilt / guard is loose / has play, some nicks on the edges, aged patina all over Will look great on display ~ From an old New England Estate FREE tracking & delivery confirmation in the U.S.A.
