NO RESERVE...This is a VERY RARE and ORNATE Osborn Nickel Cash Register...Serial No. 6108...Quite compact almost like a candy store register...Osborn of Detroit Michigan made registers for only a few years in the 1890s before being bought by National Cash Register...These are very unusual with the barrel front drawer that is activated by selecting the amount key which then allows you to pull down the barrel drawer revealing the porcelain cash drawer...When the barrel door is lifted into the closed position it is ready for the next transaction...This one is in pretty good working condition...The buttons and drawer work smoothly and the number indicators come up as they should (indicators have paint loss)...It will clean up quite a bit if you desire to shine it up as the plating is still pretty nice...The only real issue is one of the pieces that would be on the top upright that would hold the glass is missing...I was gonna get some small similar tops for a National and modify them to work, but decided to leave it as is...The left upright with the missing cap has a slight bend, but could be straightened with care...It is marked Osborn in several places in the scroll work of the casting and on the tag...Measures 19 inches tall by 14 inches wide and 11 inches deep...It is pretty nice as is or would make an excellent restoration example...A great and truly rare opportunity for an unusual and beautiful cash register...I can ship this SAFELY and REASONABLY to the U.S. and CANADA...OTHER INTERNATIONAL BIDDERS PLEASE EMAIL FOR A SHIPPING QUOTE...Buyer Pays Shipping.
