This Alligator Inkwell was found deep in my great aunts attic and is very old. It is some type of metal, probably bronze and looks to be lined with brass . I have not cleaned it all all. I am leaving that to a knowledgable buyer. In researching it I found one that looks identical to it in the 2006 Martin Miller Complete guide to antiques that states it is bronze and has a value of over $1170.00. I think a serious collector would love to own this piece.
