This is an antique Buddha from a prominent local estate. This woman traveled extensively in Tibel and Nepal many decades ago. This is not a new piece.
He is sitting on a throne above an active forest. The tree canopies come over onto the platform. T is a tiger chasing deer in the forest below. It is gilded bronze, with an old patina. He is playing a lute and with such fine detail as one would expect from bronze; that is, delicate fingers holding a pick, fully formed feet and toes, jewelry, a beautiful face and so forth. The statue measures 7 1/2" tall and the base is 5" x 3". It is heavy but as shown in the last picture with some kind of fill added at the base only. Perfect with nothing missing or broken. shipping is $12.
