FROM PHILADELPHIA ESTATE ~~ NO RESERVE ANTIQUE, JAPANESE LARGEWARHORSE LARGE ~ SOLID ~ HEAVY 12" LONG, HEAVY, OVER 7lbs. SOLID, HEAVY, and LARGE ~~ 12" LONG, Over 7lbs. For your examination is a rare, solid iron (possiblybronze) Japanese war horse sculpture similar to a TangDynasty or Han Dynasty horse. This wonderful, large, and very heavy Samurai horse comes from a local estate art and antiques collection. It is genuine poured iron or bronze, solid, not hollow. It is a wonderful piece.MEASUREMENTS: 12" LONG x 9" TALL x 3-3/4" WIDE HEAVY, SOLID...Weighs Over 7 lbs. This wonderful estate piece has been in the a Philadelphia collection and will ship from thePhiladelphia suburbs, not from overseas. I'veincluded many photos for you to examine. This is a fantastic fantastic, powerful sculpture, the patina is superb with remnants of gold gilding.CONDITION:The patina is exquisite and shows the usual oxydationand patination that you'd expect in such a piece. There isthe appropriate wear; the result, I suspect, of much of handlingand touching. As you can see, there are areas of bronzeoxydation, pitting, and in general, wear and tear, scratches,dings, holes, etc. that are appropriate to its age.
