Up for bids at auction: Up for bids is this nice, old, Brush Axe. This neat old, "barn find" is one of those tools that's getting harder to find every day. Ready to display or put to work, the axe head looks to be blacksmith made and has a clean edge with no serious nicks or gouges with hand forged handle straps; soft steel so you can sharpen it with a file or whetstone. It is mounted on an old 35 inch wooden handle. This is an axe with a great look and feel that could be easily used and enjoyed. The axe head measures approx 10 1/2 inches long by 2 1/2 inches wide. It'd just be a fun tool to take to the timber and with the unpainted, bare metal patina and hand worn wooden handle it'll look great anywhere. Great rustic cabin decor. Overall length: 39 1/2 inches. Please refer to the pictures and feel free to email with any questions. The items I sell are “Barn Finds” from old farm estates throughout Iowa , Illinois and Missouri . Many of these items carry some rust, dust and dirt and are ready for cleaning & restoration. All original patina, showing years of use and aging – restore to your liking. Selling without reserve to the highest bidder. Don’t miss out by waiting until the last minute. Once it’s gone… its gone. Keep in mind that the quality, American-made items I sell are from a bygone era. Items made to be used a lifetime;
