Hello everyone! I have been an ebay member for quite some time now and decided that it is finally time I get off my duff and sell some things. I have collected for many years and have some wonderful items to list. I hope that you will come back from time to time and check them out as I will be listing them on a weekly basis. I am offering this apparently one of a kind Durham Cigar clock from the late 1800's and IT STILL WORKS!!!! I say one of a kind because I have researched it and have not found anything of the like anyw It is in the form of a bull and in the center is a clock with the words "Durham Cigar" on the face and it is covered in glass with a sort of beaded design around it. On the left side of the clock, on the body of the bull, it reads "Durham" and on the right,it reads "Cigar", the g is in the form of a lightening bolt. I believe it to be made of cast iron (it weighs approximately 5 lbs.) and it has a brassy/bronze type of painted finish. The finish is OLD, not bad but somewhat worn, and not something that has been done recently and could very well be original to the piece.
