BOOK PIECE: BURMESE OR CHINESE EXPORT GILDED SILVER HALLMARKED CAT BROOCH @ 1- 3/4" end to end. Found on page 69 of the book " Unsigned Beauties of Costume Jewelry " by Marcia "Sparkles" Brown . The book is out of print and values were last updated in this edition (2002), so though the pricing may be outdated, the piece is the same.The book states that the piece is Burmese - though it does look awfully similar to the Chinese Export wares of the same era. Hallmarked "SILVER" on the underside. Gilded silver filigree work with bands of cloisonne cobalt blue enamel & genuine Turquoise eyes.
