Up for auction is an incredible, four-paneled butter mold featuring carved impressions of an acorn, lily of the valley , corn, and strawberries.
The mold or press is comprised of two pieces: the four paneled stamp, and the cradle in which one pours the butter. Both pieces are well built. The cradle is tightly jointed and very sturdy- craftsmanship that is no longer seen anyw The stamp is made of a frame and four panels which appears easily disassembled for cleaning or trading out the panels. The cradle is in excellent condition. The panels all are cracking somewhat at screw points. The carved images are very detailed and impressive to behold. The cradle is 13" x 4" x 4". The stamp- which fits inside the cradle- is 12" x 3" x 1-1/2". Thanks and make sure to check out our other auctions!
