is a Fabulous Collection of 117 Antique Buttons, Bakelite, Gibson Girls, Goodyear, BGE Originals, Blumenthal Co Inc, Cross London, and D. Evans Attleboro. T are Glass, Rubber, Cut Steel, Bakelite, other Metals and old Resins. The largest Black Button is just beautiful with its carved floral design, it looks like Jet, I cannot be sure. It measures approximately 1 3/8 inches in diameter. The next large button has a wonderful green base with streaks of blues and is covered with a very pretty metal design. The sweetest buttons are the 2 tiny Gibson Girl Buttons. I am calling them Gibson Girl Buttons because the original Card they came with stated that they were Gibson Girls. They appear to be real photographs under their covers and are on an opalescent background. All the star shaped or cog wheel shaped buttons and round golden yellow buttons test positive for Bakelite. The 5 large black buttons, 3 of the smallest black buttons, and 1 medium size black button are marked I.R.C Co Goodyear 1851. 3 of the smaller, not the smallest black buttons are marked, NR Co Goodyear’s P=T 1851. T are 5 gorgeous Glass Buttons marked B.G.E. Orig. The are a smoky gray swirling over a cream colored filling. The 4 Shell or Mother of Pearl Buttons with metal backings are all marked D Evans & Co, Attleboro . The 3 very small rectangular buttons have 3 tiny round buttons that fit into their centers and are not attached. T are 4 metal buttons with leather or leather like tops covered in tiny brass colored metal balls, 1 of them is marked, Blumenthal Co Inc Patent Pending, 1 other is marked Patent Pending in the same markings, and the other 2 are not marked. The 5 small gold swirled buttons are marked BGE with another mark which is difficult to read. The tiniest metal button reads CROSS London on the front accompanied on top by what looks like a horse’s head. The small black button that looks like it contains gold foil has a couple of very tiny chips and the small black button covered in mother of pearl has a small chip as seen in the photos. T is no reserve on this great collection of Antique Buttons and shipping will be determined upon buyer location. Please feel free to email with any questions and actual shipping costs.
