This is a beautiful and rare little cut-to-clear glass salt dip or cellar. I believe that it was made by Dorflinger in the 1880's. Beautiful ruby cut to clear Hob and Lace pattern. It is not flashed, but a true layer of red glass which was cut to reveal design. It measures 1-1/2" tall and flares a little and has a top diameter of 1-7/8". It is in excellent condition, no chips, cracks or repairs. It dates from the late 19th century and came out of a wonderful estate in Connecticut that had generations of antiques. I have other beautiful and unusual salts listed from this same collection. Thanks for your interest and
