antique c1920's ARTS & CRAFTS Almco floor lamp MISSION
5 DAY AUCTION/NO RESERVE I HAVE JUST FOUND OUT THAT THE LAMP AND THE OTHERS ON AUCTION BREAK DOWN SOMEWHAT FOR SHIPPING. I WILL POST IN THIS DESCRIPTION MONDAY AN APPROXIMATE SHIPPING IDEA WITH DHL OR FEDEX...WHICHEVER IS CHEAPER. THOSE THAT I HAVE ALREADY QUOTED SHIPPING...IT WILL BE LESS THAN THE QUOTE.You are viewing a fabulous, 1920's era, ARTS AND CRAFTS BRASS AND IRON FLOOR LAMP. Exquisitely crafted....expertly designed. The lamp was manufactured by Almco Lamp Co. out of Chicago. The "lighter"(enititled SMOKERLITE) on the table/tray(also hand hammered) has a patent number dating in the twenties...works. T has been no cleaning whatsoever to this lamp. This was recently removed from a local estate in use when heirs began liquidating. This lamp along with three others(all on auction now) all came from the same estate...two bridge lamps and one other telescoping reading floor lamp(brass and iron) with Arts and Crafts design(also an Almco...superb quality lamp). All from the same era(early 1900's....through the mid 1920's. The lamp in this auction is in very nice condition. The shade on the lamp is the same as was being used by the original owner....I assume it is the original shade. I can't stress enough the quality of this lamp. The lamp is either hand forged and hand hammered iron or brass...or cast brass/iron. Even the harp(with decoration) is cast iron...so unique. The candle cover is metal and screws down into the socket. This is just a small representation of the detail and quality craftsmanship that went into the making of this lamp. If you truly want a*real*, *original*, *untouched*, *antique* lamp...this is for you. Shipping will be fedex ground unless otherwise requested....shipping amount will depend on your location....can be picked up if so desired(Poplar Bluff, MO). Please email with any questions.
