Antique Ca 1875 Dome Top Steamer Trunk Adirondacks. Purchased at an Adirondack Estate Sale as displayed as is and thats how I left it. Metal covered Dome Top Steamer Trunk with Hardwood Slats go from front to back on the top and up and down on the front. This is a type of trunk that was made by the larger makers such as Decor and Duluth. Built in lid lifts add a nice touch. Ornate lid lifter above lock.End caps in place with leather straps rare to find after all these years. Inside is original brown paper which is easy to remove to replace with paper of your choise. Would look great. 3 rollers on bottom. Metal was removed on bottom to expose the solid wood. Slat clamps are ornate and add a nice look. Trunk has a copper colored finish with patena. Trunk will look great with a little touch up change or leave as is. Nice size and weight for easy handling. Desirable trunk measures 31 wide by 17" deep by 21" tall.
