Antique Victorian Camel Back Stretcher base sofa up for auction. This is not a reproduction! Purchased for $350 several years ago from a Shrewsbury, Massachusetts antique shop. It did not fit through the front door (an antique farmhouse with small hallway and sharp turn). Has been stored in the barn attic since purchase in the hopes of finding an alternate solution. Beautiful blue vintage damask fabric with no rips, tears or compromises. Six point Stretcher Base frame is solid and sturdy. No chips or cracks anyw to the wood. We believe the frame is mahogany but could be maple or oak since the weight is considerable.Only one small flaw noted - a slight paint drip (approx 1/4 inch long) on top of the right arm. Appears to be able to be removed since it sits on top of the fabric and not rubbed in. Or cover it with an arm cover. This is a no reserve auction - we simply need this sofa gone to make room. Measures 46 inches tall and 85 inches long. Please measure your space to ensure this fits! Due to the weight and oversized dimension of this couch, we are unable to ship. Buyer can arrange for shipping but please ensure you tell the shipper that the couch is 85 inches long. Local delivery (first floor only) is possible for a fee.
