Vintage estate Carl Deffner copper teapot with stand & warmer. This set has light surface scratches from normal use. It does not have any dents or major flaws, it does need cleaning. The inside & bottom of base on warmer is rusty. Teapot features a brass & wooden handle, and a lovely brass flower knob on the lid. Pot measures 7 ½” high with handle up, 5 ¼” high with handle down, 6 ¾” in diameter. Stand features two ornate brass handles, warmer has a wooden handle, to open you need to pull the handle & to close you need to push the handle. I did not try to twist the bottom part out. The bottom of the warmer is marked “Patented July 1902”. Stand measures 7 ½” high x 8 ¾” wide (from handle to handle) and 7” in diameter. Overall height is 12 ¼” with teapot handle up, 10” high with it down. Base of the teapot is marked with a Shield containing crossed war axes, letters C on the left, D on right and E on the bottom. This is the Carl Deffner, Esslingen signature mark. There is also the letter K on the base. Carl Deffner, Esslingen Germany was born in 1856 & took over management of his father’s metalware factory in 1900. Thanks for looking.
