You are bidding on a PAIR of Antique Designer French Louis XVI Sofa Parlor Club Chairs. This pair is a RARE FIND due to its size, age and beauty and was VERY WELL made by Harris Marcus Furniture. These were made in Italy and finished in the US and referenced in the photos with its original label. Each chair sits on beautifully tapered and curved French cabriole legs with floral carved Ancathus leaves and scrolled feet. It has a beautiful shell crested floral motif at the front and beautifully carved roses at the top. The frames are nicely recessed with scrolling arm rests and floral carved trim work accented throughout. They have a BEAUTIFULLY carved designs in the manner of Louis XVI with scrolled arm rests and nicely reeded supports. These are EXCELLENT accent chairs that can be used in the hallway or foyer, in a bedroom or living room, study, library and for anyw else throughout your home and I PROMISE will be a topic of conversation. It has a beautiful and exotic naturally figured wood grain pattern as you can see in the pictures below. The upholstery is a beautiful velvet in a nice neutral tone which may need to be professionally cleaned and tailored as these came from a private estate and have wear that commensurates with its age with some indentation. This was VERY WELL made with quality that surpasses ANYTHING made today and is all wood construction but Please understand that this is an antique so it has some minor imperfections on it with its age but overall they are in excellent shape.
