A pair of ornately carved doors. They are both of the same style, but one has different reliefs than the other. The pictures show details from both doors. The doors are over 100 years old and were carved in Nuristan by master carvers. In the Nuristani tradition, only wealthy members of the tribe were allowed to have these ornate carvings adorn their homes. Each relief has a meaning and they represent the different aspects of life in the tribe. One of the doors has iron hardware.The doors are ~44" X 82". They are double doors, but the parts that open are actually smaller; ~30" X 52" (you can see the double doors under the arch within the larger frame). This was done that way to keep farm animals out of the house.These are fantastic pieces of art... The price is per door.
