You are bidding on a BEAUTIFUL ANTIQUE FLOW BLUE IRONSTONE PLATE with CASHMERE PATTERN: This plate is in GREAT condition! This nostalgic plate appears to be from the mid-19th century (early Victorian period - 1830-1860). You can see the design covers the entire piece and it has the classic angular shape. I believe it is vegetable plate, but I am not entirely certain about that. Also, note the hyper-intensity of the cobalt throughout. Further, it features a very tradition Oriental Cashmere pattern - very characteristic of the era. The Cashmere pattern features a scene of two small deer, one with antlers who is confronting the second deer with an upraised front leg. The border has oversize flowers and leaves. This plate is in very good condition and has NO major faults. You can clearly see some age cracks as well as the kiln or spur marks on the front and back (which is expected with this type of pottery). The most prominent flaw is a small chip on the edge, which I have a picture of. All in all - a very nice piece of dinnerware history for any collector or enthusiast.
