Attention - - Dedicated collectors . You can bid on this gilded cast iron still bank from the early 1900's. It is 5 ???? long and 2 ???? tall and most of the gilding is still present even after almost 100 years. The condition is very good and t is no damage or restoration. The book, ANTIQUE
CATS FOR COLLECTORS, by Katherine Clinton shows a picture
of an identical cat bank with the notation "Collections of Greenfield Village and the Henry Ford Museum"
It is also identical to the one listed by Whiting as #247 and one with the name A C Williams on the ball.
The bank is held together by the original screw which has a thread size that has been out of use for more than a half century.
T are no letters, numbers, or identifying marks of any kind on the bank.
