ANTIQUE CAST IRONCYLINDER GLASS SHADE MANTLE LAMP BIRDS ********PLEASE NOTE: I DO NOT TAKE PAYPAL******** This old lamp dates to about the 1930's/40's and at one time had a mate. When we bought it, it was in separate pieces in a box and the lady we got it from said t were 2 originally, but one had gotten broken years ago. Anyway we put it back together and wired it and it works great (low wattage bulb recommended). The metal is iron with a dark patina showing some brass highlights and the shade is glass with a design of tropical birds and flowers on both sides, which I believe is a paper decal of some sort that has been applied and coated. The shade sits on the base and the cap sits on the top of the shade. The total height of the lamp is 13" and it is about 4 1/2" across the widest point. We did have to find a screw to attach the finial to the top cap as the original one was missing, but it is up inside and doesn't show. It is in great condition with no repairs and the cord we put on is quite long and has the on/off switch on the cord. Total shipping weight is 5 pounds. Insurance is extra.
