Antique Cast Iron Matchsafe Match Holder/Striker in near mint condition, some minor scuffing of original paint, wonderful old patina. Unique matchsafe in box shape with hinged lid, lid decorated with scroll designs and bust of revolutionary gentleman. Holder striker is designed to stand on table or can be attached to wall. Match holder is stamped on bottom "PAT. JAN. 16, 1872". W ould make a great addition to any collection and measures 5 inches long, 3 1/8 inches wide and 2 inches tall and weighs 1.0 lbs.
