We went to an auction at the old United Presbyterian Church in Carrollton Missouri about a week ago. The church's membership had declined sharply over the years and the expanding high school needed the property, so the church disbanded (dismembered?). They sold a bunch of things they had accumulated over the years. We came away with a magnificent old oak library table (that we are keeping...eat your heart out!), lots of old silverware, some dandy old christmas ornaments and other stuff! Among the treasures was this old still bank. It is made of cast iron. All the seams are smooth and well-fitting. It measures approximately 4 1/4 inches tall and 4 1/4 inches by 2 1/2 inches across the base. The original paint is tan colored and in good condition with only a few worn spots and t A pin running through the middle from front to back holds it together...I don't know how to remove it, so it has never been apart. It's only identification is the word "Bank" over both front and back doors. It will weigh nearly two pounds packed and ready to mail.As usual, you may bid with confidence because your satisfaction is absolutely guaranteed.
