(The photos do not do this little beauty justice. This stove came from the Estate of a Lady who passed away this year at the age of 99. It was hers as a child.) Antique Child's Cast Iron Stove 'Dolly's Favorite' Ohio The Favorite Stove and Range Co., in business in Piqua , Ohio , U.S.A. from 1889 to 1957, made this stove - their 'Dolly's Favorite' model. DF is marked on every piece and numbers are on some of the pieces. That includes down to the little eye lids. It is 19" wide and 25 1/2" tall at the tallest point. It weighs 50 pounds. That makes for a very heavy package to mail. **It will be packed with the greatest of care, double boxed, bubble wrapped, etc. All removeable parts will be wrapped individually and mailed together in a separate box.** (LOCAL PICK-UP option is welcome; email seller for details. This stove is located in the Birmingham, Alabama, U.S.A. area.) It is child size, not doll house size! Dolly's Favorite is on the left side of the stove above the firebox door. Piqua, Ohio, Stove & Range Co. (See Photos!) The logo on the front door says: "We Guarantee FAVORITE STOVE RANGES Best in the World" This rare piece is being sold as is, although with a little TLC, it could be made to look like a new one. To me, that is a beauty of any cast iron items!! This old piece is definitely a 'diamond in the rough'!! Any surface rust can be brushed off with your hand! The legs are not attached, and probably haven't been for decades, but are shown in the photo. That probably helped to further preserve the stove by preventing stress cracks, etc., which t are none. No chipped areas around w the legs go, and the legs are in great condition. T are 5 screws and bolts included. It appears that some screws and bolts are missing, but they look to be standard and should not be hard to find. The pipe covering has holes w it can also be bolted in place. The nickel coated shelf (peeling) has a bolt hole in the front to secure it. Back in the day, they did not put on a heavy nickel coating. The SIX eyes are cast and are removeable by the round decorative metal piece that fits in two different slots on the front top of the stove. The round decorative piece is really a trivet that swivels, similar to the old adult stoves. The lid lifter is not with it, so it is a good thing that the swivel trivet doubles for this purpose also. Reproductions have a type of wire that is used to lift the lids. (That, among other indications, leads me to believe that this is a genuine original, i.e., DF markings on every individual part to the stove !) These lids are solid cast, and the round trivet point fits right into the grooved slot to lift the lids. T is a waffle iron with a holder for it. The shelf (rack) in the oven is adjustible to fit low to the bottom of the oven or about middle ways. T is a grate inside the fire box. No rust or corosion on the grate. See photos! They will add greatly to the description. Great Buy!! Bid now! Feel free to email seller with any questions. Combined shipping offered for multiple wins! Be sure to add me to your favorites list !
