Up for bids at auction: Up forbids is this antique, Cast Iron Tractor/ Horse Drawn Farm Implement Seat. This great looking old seat was a barn find from an old farm estate in Iowa and has been lightly cleaned and rubbed with an all-natural beeswax to protect and preserve it’s beautiful old iron patina and is ready for display anywhere. Overall, the seat measures roughly 14 by 17 ½ inches wide, 3 ½ inches deep. On the bottom of the seat, embossed, raised lettering reads “M48?” (the final character is hard to decipher.) There are traces of original green paint throughout the seat. The color of the paint and the seat style leads me to assume it’s an old John Deere piece. The seat is free of damage- no cracks or breaks in the webbing and structurally solid with no flex. Guaranteed to be old and authentic. Ready for display in any collection.
