Up for bid is an absolutely incredible piece of folk art, depicting our Country's history during the period, 1776-1876. This intricate folk art picture frame measures approximately 11-1/2" x 6-1/2", and is comprised of hand-carved wood. The American eagle sits proudly on top of this frame, with flags on both right and left. Each of the sides of the frame is adorned with an American Revolutionary soldier, holding a musket. The bottom has the date: 1776-1876. Underneath the date sits two cannons with muskets. All wood is intact and in very good condition. The back sports two eye hooks, with a tattered cord (easy repair). This unique Centennial item would appeal to any early American memorabilia collector.
