ANTIQUE CHALKWARE ALTAR W LIGHTS & JESUS/RARE Pre-Vatican II Altar Outstanding Iluminated Altar in VERY GOOD CONDITION. No Cracks on the Altar. What a RARE FIND. It is 17 1/2"Tall to the top of the Statue and 14 1/2" Wide by 6" Deep. Glass candles light up and t is a glass panel on the lower center of the altar with a picture of the Last Supper that lights as well. The chalice is illuminated with light by an opening in the altar. The statue of the Sacred Heart of Jesus has been added. T is a small hole w the original statue was placed. You can put whatever religious statue you want on this altar. The condition is remarkable for it's age with only a few very minor scuff marks. One of the glass candles broke in half but you can see it does not show. I have the other half if someone wants to glue it but it truely isn't necessary. When lit up it is outstanding. This has been in my family for many years and has seen beautiful care. The chalkware has a marblized appearance and the back is in very good condition as well. I have taken alot of photos to show the condition. This is one of the LARGER ALTARS. They made a few different sizes but you never see the glass front altars. It is truely a beautiful relic of the pre Vatican religious articles. Feel free to email me with any questions.
