Hi and THANKS FOR LOOKING!! Up for your consideration is a wonderful example of an EARLY Jenny Lind STAGECOACH style trunk originally used for a child during travel or a childâe(tm)s doll trunk. It is in very good condition for its age and use by a child. The top shows the most wear from being opened and shut often. It also has a small piece of wood split out w a nail was put in to attach the top to the edge board. At some time in its long life someone decided to put metal hinges on it âe" more than likely the original leather hinges became rotten with age. I have had the leather hinges professionally replaced to make it more authentic. One of the corners on the inside tray has been damaged due to lifting the tray in and out (see photo.) The inside has all of its ORIGINAL wallpaper and its ORIGINAL picture of a small girl with her bonnet on her lap, petting her pet lamb, sitting among the ferns and foliage of the forest ~ Just DARLING! I DO NOT have a key for it ~ t is NOT anything on the top edge that would lock it ~ either it never had anything t or it is missing!! It is a very nice small size that makes it very desirable for display. It measures 14âe long, and 7¼âe high. Having a âeoeJenny Lindâe form, the width goes from 8¼âe at the bottom âe" to 7¼âe w the lid meets the bottom part âe" to 8âe at the very top. It is covered with a very thin ORANGE colored cloth-like material. The black and white design was applied over the material and has âeoepointedâe brass tacks adding to the overall appeal!!! This trunk would appeal to many facets of antique collecting!!! ~~~ What an addition this charming little trunk would make to your country décor, your doll collection, your trunk collection and/or to your âeoeorangeâe collection!!! ~~~ Buyer pays all shipping and insurance. The actual shipping cost will be calculated once we know w it is being shipped. Insurance is recommended even though items are packed very well in bubble wrap and/or foam peanuts. Buyer accepts responsibility for uninsured packages that are lost or damaged in shipping. Seller will pay for Delivery Confirmation. Buyer must contact the seller within three days of the end of auction and payment must be received within ten days of the end of auction.
