I am very pleased to offer this Lovely 57 piece Fine China set called "Beatrice" made by Meito, made in Japan. I bought this from an antique shop twenty years ago and have truly enjoyed it. However, we are downsizing so I have to let it go.The set has a lot of serving pieces which includes: 12 Dinner Plates 9 7/8" 12 Bread & Butter Plates 6 1/2" 11 Saucers 5 3/4" 12 Coffee Cups (one has a chip on the rim) 1 Oblong Serving Platter 13 3/4" 1 Oblong Relish/ Condiment Plate 8 1/4" 1 Oblong Serving Bowl 11 1/8" 1 Round Serving Bowl 10 1/4" 1 Round Casserole Dish w Lid 10 1/2" 1 Rd Gravy Boat w attachd bottom 6 3/4" 1 Creamer 1 Sugar Bowl W Lid This set has very sophistocated colors in it. The background color is a very soft light yellow, along with white in the middle of each plate and cup. The rim design is edged in the color of Gold and then has a lovely color of yellow , white and black and then brownish khaki. The florals on the plate are done in different shades of pink, orange, green and blue. The colors in this plate are fabulous together. They are bold, but at the same time, are somewhat neutral and can go with almost any color palette. The pictures really don't do it justice. As far as the condition of the set, I would say it is in near excellent shape for the age of it. A small amount of the Gold has worn off some of the pieces. T is no crazing, no scratch marks, cracks, or chips (except for the one coffee cup). T are dimples few and far between and alittle of the background color may be faded on a few of the pieces, but I dont find it noticible. I tend to be a perfectionist, and just in case you are, I tend to over describe any of the slightest imperfections even when most wouldnt even notice them. Each piece is stamped with the authentic Meito China emblem, and says Meito China, Made in Japan, Beatrice. This is a very regal set, that is very versatile, and has worked for me in 3 different homes, 3 different color palettes. I have mostly used it for display in my breakfront, and have only served with it a few times. The detail on this set is impeccable and you wont be disappointed with its beauty. Please feel free to email me for any additional questions. Happy bidding!
