Absolutely gorgeous! The entire snuff bottle is covered with intricate patterns and designs. The hand-carved detailing is just amazing! Complete with lid and the small attached spoon.

The dimensional raised relief scenes wrap around the bottle. One side depicts two traditionally dressed men playing a board game while seated at a table. Not only can you make out their tiny facial features but you can also see the lines on the game board. The opposite side of the bottle features a traditionally dressed woman playing a flute-like musical instrument. The plants are accurate to having the veins on the leaves.

The bottle is heavier than you would expect given it's size. It weighs 4.5 oz and is 3.75" tall and 2.5" at the widest point. Signature on the bottom.

The aged patina to this ivory piece is especially beautiful. The natural darkening to the lines in the ivory really add to the vintage appeal.

As you can see by the photos the bottle, lid and spoon are all in very nice condition. Made from pre-banned ivory in the mid to late 1800's.

This bottle is from a family's collection that they aquired in the 1950's. They had many of these bottles appraised in the 1960's and were told that they were authentic and over 100 years old at that time. Several more snuff bottles from their beautiful collection will be listed.

Remarkable craftsmanship. Very good condition. You won't be disappointed in this exquisite bottle - it is one of the most beautifully crafted snuff bottles I have seen. This excellent quality piece is a real vintage treasure!
