Tongzhi Period Chinese Export Ginger Jar This absolutely gorgeous Chinese Export ginger jar is from the Tongzhi period, Qing dynasty - dating back to between 1862 and 1874. It's main design is considered the "Double Happiness" mark, or "Wedded Bliss." This design appears on the body in three places. The jar is 7 1/2" tall and about 8" wide. The shape is excellent and t are no scratches, cracks or chips. T is some wear and a couple tiny nicks on the footing edge, as is to be expected with a 125+ year old piece of pottery/porcelain.
