ANTIQUE CHINESE FANS (4) Among the posessions of Miss Lester who was a tutor of Madame Chiang Kai Shek are these beautiful fans. They are constructed of wood and paper and are in very good condition. I assume that they came from the same time period when Madame Chiang was being tutored by Miss Lester and Miss Burks. The measurements vary with the red one which is all wood, measuring 9" long and when opened is about 16" at widest point. Ther green fan is about the same size 9" long by about 16". The black one with the peacock is 8" long and 14" at wide point. The orange and pinkish fan is about the same size as the black. One is more beautiful than the other. A lovely item. Thank you. .
