Original Japanese FujiMaru “Junk” Ship Model by D.Kinoshita 1935 This is an Original Chinese FujiMaru Junk Ship Model by D. Kinoshita made in October 1935, in Kobe Japan. A beautiful piece of folk art. This model comes in its original box, inscribed as “ FUJI MARU Designed and Worked by D Kinoshita Oct 1935 Kobe Japan.” The craftsmanship is outstanding. It is signed on the stern or rear of the ship. Also on the box is an old label from White & Company Southampton, perhaps this once was stored with them and put up for auction in England? Strict attention was paid to the intricate specifics of every aspect of this model. Hatches, anchors, ropes, cross hatched railings, the rudder and stitched sail, as well as the mast and every fine detail was well crafted. The finish and stain are completely original. Every part is original to this ship. Such considerable quality was put into this hand-made, hand carved ship. It even has a little “whaler” or dingy lifeboat, which is also signed. The ship measures approximately 20” x 6” x 23”. The box it fits in whe n the mast is taken down measures approximately 21” x 8” x 6 ¾”. I will carefully disassemble all removable parts for shipping. I will over-pack and ensure safe delivery. The condition is absolutely stunning museum quality. If you are interested in a Buy It Now, email me and I will
