This is a set of two antique Chinese scrolls. They are 7' 2" by 17 3/4" overall, and the image is 69" by 15 5/8". They were kept in this nice dovetailed box decorated with colorful characters. The box is 5 1/8" by 3" by 22" long. The top slides into a groove to close it. These are very difficult to photograph. I hope you can see the details, there are characters written on each one. In "real life" they look quite nice, but hard to get an accurate photograph. They have been rolled up for a long time, so they show the creasing common to the older ones. No missing pieces, these can be restored. I believe there is a process for restoring the cracks/creases. I know them to be old, and I cannot decipher the characters, so you be the judge as to the artist and age here. These were the possesion of the father of an elderly local Chinese woman that traveled the world with her American Navy officer husband. This is being offered with no reserve and no Buy-It-Now price.
