Item Description: This auction is for an Antique Chinese Scholars Metal & Enamel Pen, Ink, & Brush Holder . The artist of this practical item utilizes tactfully applied enamel paint to highlight the key illustrations. The black enamel more than adequately draws the eye to the excellently rendered flowers, fan-tail goldfish, and the plant-adorned vase (see photos). In addition, on top of its artful, aesthetic appeal, this item boasts a sincere practicality in its conveniently compact ink compartment, brush compartment, and two pen holders (see photos). Both the brush compartment and the pen holders are removable (see photos). This hardy antique measures 4 ¼” tall all assembled, and it reaches 2” long and 2 7/8” wide (1 in. = 2.54 cm).
