ANTIQUE CHINESE SILK EMBROIDERED PANEL IN FRAME On offer here is an antique Chinese silk embroidered panel, housed within a glazed frame. This silk is exactly the same as another i have on offer, the only difference being the frame they are displayed in. The silk is so delicate and the amount of work is outstanding. The panel itself is cream coloured silk and the threads used are silks. They are subtly coloured and the image portrays three small medallions (for the want of a better word) embroidered with cranes amongst trees, birds in a tree whilst beneath the tree stands a peacock with its tail feather outstretched and beneath the peacock stands a wading bird by water, the base medallion is embroidered with an exotic bird, flowers and a butterfly. There are Chinese symbols embroidered in black silk and small bats. The edges of the panel are also embroidered with a leaf like pattern. The frame is glazed. It measures 20.7 inches high x 6 inches wide Condition; It is offered in very good, pre owned condition, there are no holes, stains etc-please study all photo's which can be enlarged to larger than life size by I have tried to be accurate in my listing but I am not an expert whereas you probably are!
