This is some collectors lucky week. In going through a box from a local estate, we've uncovered a treasure trove of vintage original Chinese hair pins and brooches in both brass and silver adorned with the delicate KING FISHER (KINGFISHER) bird feathers.

These irridescent bright blue feathers are as spectacular today as they were when they were first made over 100 years ago.

This auction is for a particularly LOVELY hair pin that Sports a single and simply beautiful AND VERY RARE BAT design on a long hair pin. The wings of the bat are thin and ornate, and the feather work the most detailed and finest pieces of all of the items listed this week. Please see the photos and notice the areas w t is significant loss of feathers. This pin is very old, and quite unique. This pin measures 2" wide and 1.5" in length.

This piece is also SIGNED on verso, though I'm unable to make out the mark. Please see the companion piece up this week.

This lovely item is fresh from a local Hawaii socialite's estate. She traveled extensively and brought home many treasures which will be offered on eBay.
