No Reserves on ANY of my auctions!! Christmas Bookmarker Country Store Antiques Gallery NOTE: The Age, Size and Condition are noted just after the description. Please be sure to check the bottom of the listing for any additions to the description. Item: I bought an Old book for my private collection, and when I got it home I was looking through it and found this OLD Christmas Bookmark with Santa Claus on one side and some Holly Leaves and “Merry Christmas” on the other! You can see the heart shaped book marker with Santa in the first pic above. There are some holly leaves below him, and at the very bottom it is printed with “The Whitehead & Hoag Co. – Newark, N.K. – Pat. June 6, 1905”. It looks to be made of some thin early plastic, my first thought was celluloid, but I’m not certain about that. Either way, it is an Adorable piece! Here is a look at the other side with “Merry Christmas” and more Holly Leaves… A Grand old piece for yourself, or a Fine gift for a Special Friend! Age: The patent date is June 6, 1905 Size: 1 7/8” by 2 1/8”, the string is about 4” long Condition: Near Excellent. There is a little minor scuffing, and a little minor spotting from age. The string appears to be original, and I see no damage. It will be shipped between two sheets of cardboard for added safety. Shipping to the USA only: FREE First Class
