Antique Circus Performer Cabinet Photos, CVD & More, Eight Related Photos Covering Years of His Life. I bought these at an antique auction. The information I have comes from the back of the pictures. His name is Enoch Frey, he was the son of Geo. T. Frey and Mary Elizabeth Shirk Frey, he was born in 1874 in Pennsylvania and died in 1939 in California. He was a Circus performer, looks like he started out as a contortionist and played many other roles later. T are four cabinet photos, one CDV and three pictures that are not put on the cabinet backing. On the front of one of the cabinet photos, it says J. W. Replogle, Photographer, Walnut, PA and the contortioned one says the same on the back. One of those with his contortionist outfit says it is from 1895 and he is 21 years old. He is quite abit older in the photo with the pelican and I think those are his children in the other pelican picture. I couldn't find out any information on which circus he was with. Cabinet photos are approx. 6 1/2" by 4 1/4", the CVD is 4 1/8" by 2 1/2", the one with contortionist outfit and no backing is 6 1/2" by 4 1/4", The pelican one with him is 6 1/4" by 4 1/4" and the pelican one with the children is 5 1/2" by 3 3/4". Nice historical collection. Highest bidder will please pre-pay plus shipping costs, after close of auction. Insurance is optional. If you choose not to insure it will be at your own risk.
