Antique Victorian Steamer Trunk Chest Coffee Table Civil War Era 1864 True Antique at 144 year old * UNBELIEVABLE DEAL WITH NO RESERVE * ~* ~* ~* ~* ~* ~* ~* ~* ~* ~* ~* ~* ~* ~* ~* ~* ~* ~* ~* ~* ~* ~* ~* ~* ~ A trunk is one of the finest gifts you can give a loved one, because a trunk is an heirloom gift which is passed on to several generations. ~* ~* ~* ~* ~* ~* ~* ~* ~* ~* ~* ~* ~* ~* ~* ~* ~* ~* ~* ~* ~* ~* ~* ~* ~ Refinished Beauty, These type of trunks were made in 1864 True Flat top which makes the best coffee tables.It had a Paper covering that had a very faded print that resemble a tooled leather. It was in poor condition so it was removed to expose the beautiful knotty pine wood that has been covered for 144 years It has some of the most beautiful knots in the pine. The wood is in good shape it has a few cracks on the top. Which just adds more character. T is 1 behind the leather lid lift. I added it to help lift the lid with and to make it less noticeable. This trunk has a steel banding that wraps around the lip of the trunk the banding is also on the top and front but is missing on the back. It has its Original Oak Wood handles they are in excellent condition. This is why the handles are still t They are usually broken or missing. It has a latch with Lock plate all is in working order but No key. Inside the trunk has been scrubbed clean so t is no odors. This trunk has been in a attic for over a hundred years and is searching for a new home that will proudly display it in any room. This is the last sister of the other civil war trunks i sold. She was going to be a parts trunk but i changed my mind and gave it a second chance. It came out Great Solid and Strong. SIZE: 36"(Nice length for coffee table)Length X 18 1/2" Width X 18" Height nice size not to big or too small T are so many great uses for a antique trunk. Coffee Table with storage, In front of your bed to hold your blanket, winter clothes etc.,Hold hold your collectibles, To fill any empty wall. T are so many great uses, the possibilities are endless.
