Up for sale is an Antique Leather Photo Album from the Civil War years...It is empty with no photos...Has names in album in pencil from Military Family...Lots of names including Joslan, Falnos, D.I. Brandon the Photographer from Camp Douglas Illinois....Capt. R. Oliver from the 55th Ill. Inf....John Beatson from the 74th Ill Inf....George Patterson...Martin Sarva....The album itself has a frontispiece that shows this is an album made by Roberts Brothers out of Boston, Mass....It measures 6 1/4" tall x 4 7/8" wide x 1 1/8" deep and has 10 pages with 2 sides to hold 20 CDV or Tintype size Photos...Of course, you can erase the pencil written names if desired...The Album only has minor wear on the leather and covers are on tightly...I have shown photo above showing middle of album where it has split apart but is still being held together by some netting of some kind...Inside the front and back covers, there is some dark discoloration...It is not mold because it doesn't rub off on my fingers when I rub it...Appears a page is missing in the front so perhaps it was dark on one side and rubbed inside the front cover, not sure....There is a lot of foxing or staining on the photo pages inside as shown above...Has all lock hardware with great Gothic look to it and the pieces are on tightly and in perfect working order...No paper tears to the
