We recently purchased the contents of an old estate. We found an attic full of old toys still in original boxes and old bisque dolls and figurine, dishes, glass collectibles, vintage Christmas decorations and more. The items in the attic have been untouched for at least 15 years, some as long as 30 years. The stuff was everyw We are starting to list today. Since these items have been stored so long, most need cleaning. We did not attempt to clean them as not to damage them .ATTENTION; CIVIL WAR, OLD PHOTOS, TINTYPE COLLECTORS;UP FOR AUCTION IS AN ANTIQUE CIVIL WAR TINTYPE IN A UNION FOREVER CASE. Tintype is a Civil War officer in full uniform. He has his hat on his lap.The gold on his shoulders, buttons and hat stand out. His jacket is partially undone showing his vest. This extremely rare Civil War era Tintype was created circa 1860. It measures 3" x 2-1/2". All original, from the tintype to the case. This wonderful tintype is framed in an ornate golden metal, engraved frame, and is housed in a Union Forever case. Case is made of thermoplastic? The front and back of the case are adorned with a raised decoration of an eagle with a flag in its talons. Above the eagle it reads "Union Forever". Other designs are around the edge of the case. The inside of the box has a deep red velvet cushion. Brass hinges are good. This tintype and case are in perfect condition. The case has a push closure. Very rare to find these items not damaged in some way. This one is just perfect .Don't miss this opportunity.
