Here is a very beautiful antique majolica fern pattern plate with cobalt blue ground. Plate measures about 8 3/8" in diameter. There is no maker's mark other than what looks like a "12" on back side. I believe that it is English in origin. It is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. There is some very fine allover crazing visible only on very close examination. There is some darkening of craze lines over one white flower and one white bud. There are three small irregularities in the glaze on interior of plate which I believe are sagger marks, done in the making. A great plate and a fine addition to any collection.
