Antique double-handled urn on pedestal with removable lid and finial.This miniature covered urn features a Cobalt blue background, handwork gilt design and four different hand painted scenes. The scenes feature horses and horse back riding. Of greatest interest is the inclusion of a woman... riding sidesaddle! The remaining three scenes also feature horses; two being ridden by smartly dressed gentlemen, and one center stage in a courting scene. The hand painted scenes are gallant and incorporate a colorful palate of red, blue and yellow.This neoclassical urn measures 5-1/4" tall and the pedestal is 2-1/8" wide and deep. It is in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks, and the gold leaf is bright and solid. It is unsigned.If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask.Thanks for looking!
