This auction is for an Antique COIN SILVER Medal that reads LAWRENCE LIGHT GUARD ATHLETIC ASSOCIATION on the front. This item was recently purchased from an estate, and it is in its BOX! This medal has the LLG (Lawrence Light Guard) Logo on the front, and the year 1851 (which may have been the year the LLG was founded? --see images) The back of this medal reads, TUFTS COLLEGE Vs BROWN UNIVERSITY Won By (T is no name engraved on this medal as to who won it. --see images) This item has a blue and white ribbon attached to it, and t is a regular safety pin that holds it in the box...see images. The inside lid of the box indicates that it is from DIEGES & CLUST ...see images. The silver medal is not marked that I can locate, but the metal has been tested to be Coin Silver (about 900 silver) The silver medal measures about 1 1/4" in diameter, and from the top of the safety pin to the bottom of the silver medal, it is about 3 1/4" long or so. The box that this is in measures about 4 3/16" x 2 5/8" x 11/16" or so . This item is in decent vintage condition, with some signs of age/wear and use Please see images to get a closer look at this items condition. read more
