Antique Collectible Sailboat Half-Hull Model, British

This antique British half-hull model of a 19th Century sailing sloop, was purchased in 1988 from a marine-antique shop in Greenwich, England. The dealer stated that the model came from the past century, and it looks very old, indeed. Dimensions are 24-1/2" long, 8" high and 7/8" thick. The wood appears to be white oak for the backboard, with laminated maple for the half-hull model. The half-model is hung with two sturdy brass hangers.
