This item is a decorative sterling silver horse stirrup. It was a wedding gift to my parents in Brazil in the 1960's. It measures approximately inches long, by inches wide, by inches tall. It has a hole in the back that seems like it could be used to hang the stirrup, which would then allow it to be used as a decorative holder for potpourri, etc. It has a mark on the back "MAESA" and then "323" underneath.
